Celkon added a new tablet to its portfolio with the launch of the CT722. It is an entry-level slate that comes with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out-of-the box and offers a single SIM slot for 3G connectivity. There’s no word on if the Celkon CT722 supports voice-calling, but the press render shows a earpiece and a call icon on the screen, so we assume it does.
The Celkon CT722 offers a 7-inch display bearing a resolution of 1,024 x 600 pixels. The slate is backed by a 1.1GHz quad-core Intel Atom x3-C3230RK processor, aided by 1GB of RAM and a Mali 450 MP4 GPU. For storage, it gets 8GB of internal memory, further expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card.
The CT722 offers a 3.2-megapixel primary camera with an LED flash, and a 1.3-megapixel secondary snapper. Apart from single-SIM slot and 3G, the slate offers USB OTG, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and micro-USB. It is powered by a 2,800mAh battery.
The Celkon CT722 has been priced quite affordably at Rs 4,999. The slate comes in black, silver, blue and gold variants, and will be exclusively available on Snapdeal.
The LG-made Google Nexus 5X smartphone has received yet another unofficial price drop in India. The phone’s 32GB model is now available for Rs 29,990 on Amazon India. The 16GB model that got a significant price droplast week is retailing for as little as Rs 24,400. The Nexus 5X was originally launched in India in October for Rs 31,990 and Rs 35,990 for the 16GB and 32GB editions respectively.

In order to facilitate communication in rain-devastated Chennai, Airtel has today announced that it is offering free talk time, Airtel-to-Airtel calling minutes and mobile data for prepaid users. Airtel postpaid and landline users are getting an extended time limit to pay due bills.
The company is offering users auto approval of Talk Time credit upto Rs 30 and free credit of 10 minutes for Airtel-to-Airtel calling with a validity of two days for its prepaid subscribers. Besides that, the company is giving prepaid users 50MB of free mobile data with a validity of two days. For postpaid and fixed line subscribers, whose bills are due to be paid immediately, the brand has extended the time limit to make the payment, so they can experience uninterrupted services.

Motorola introduced the 2nd-gen Moto 360 smartwatch (first impressions) in September this year. Alongside, the brand announced a Sport edition of the smartwatch. Now the brand has revealed full specifications of the Moto 360 Sport along with its price and availability.
The new smartwatch aimed at runners and other fitness enthusiasts features a heart rate monitor and built-in GPS. The GPS works in tandem with theMoto Body app to track distance traveled, pace, lap times and more. The Android Wear-powered smartwatch also works with other fitness apps likeFitbit 3, MapMyRun, Strava and Under Armour Record.
The Moto 360 Sport comes with a sweat resistant silicon band, and offers a transflective AnyLight hybrid display that makes the LCD screen more readable indoors and outdoors. The smartwatch is water-resistant thanks to the IP67 certification. It also lets you sync your music from Google Play Music, to listen to without requiring your smartphone.
The rest of the Moto 360 Sport’s features are similar to the regular Moto 360 2nd-gen. It features a 1.37-inch display with a resolution of 360 x 325 pixels and a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device comes with a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, and dual microphones. Sensors on board include barometric altimeter, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, and vibration/haptics engine. It is fuelled by a 300mAh battery, which the brand says will last up to a full day with the Ambient display on.
The Moto 360 Sport has been priced at $299 (around Rs 19,900), and comes in black, white and orange hues. It will first go on sale in the UK and France starting December 18th, followed by a launch in the US from January 7th. The company launched the regular editions of the new Moto 360 in India yesterday, but there’s no word on if the Sport will go on sale in the country at the moment.

Motorola has announced the roll out of the Android Marshmallow update for the Moto G 3rd-gen smartphone in India. The Android Marshmallow update for the Moto G 3rd-gen is being rolled out soon after the brand released thesame for the Moto X Style and Moto X 2014 edition in India.
Motorola hasn’t yet released the change-log of the Android Marshmallow update for the Moto G 3rd-gen. However, users can expect a handful of new features such as Doze mode that extends the battery life, new app permissions, Google Now on Tap, and simpler volume controls. The update also brings enhanced security features, and the Direct Share feature that lets you share pictures, news, links and more with your favourite contacts easily.
The new firmware is being rolled out to Moto G 3rd-gen users over the air. You will be automatically notified about the update, but you can also do a manual check by going to Settings > About Phone > System Update.
LG is all set to unveil a handful of devices at CES 2016 in January. The company has already announced that it will be introducing the Tone+ 2016 Bluetooth stereo headset at the show. Now the brand has announced that it will be unveiling the new IoT SmartThinQ Hub speaker next month.
The LG SmartThinQ Hub is a Bluetooth-enabled speaker that also lets you control your home appliances. The device comes with a 3.5-inch LCD display, which displays reminders from connected calendars. It can connect to a smartphone app to communicate with smart home appliances. It can be used to control washing machines, refrigerators, ovens, robotic vacuum cleaners, and air conditioners, among others.
As per the brand, the SmartThinQ Hub works as a central LG smart home hub by gathering details from smart appliances and from conventional devices connected to its sensors using Wi-Fi, Zigbee and Bluetooth. The device is compatible with devices from other manufacturers which support the AllJoyn Alliance open source framework. It can stream music from radio stations via iHeartRadio or via connected smartphones and tablets over Bluetooth.

Chinese electronics manufacturer FiiO has launched its new portable music player called the M3 in India. The brand has partnered with Origin Marketing to bring the FiiO M3 to India. The device offers a metal unibody design, and has a 2-inch TFT display. Below the screen, it has six backlit buttons to navigate across menus.
The FiiO M3 delivers a continuous music playback of up to 24 hours. It has 8GB of internal memory, and comes with a microSD card slot that can accept memory cards up to 64GB in size. The device supports lossless audio formats like APE, FLAC and WAV at up to 94kHz/24bit. The device tips the scale at 40 grams, and features a UV-cured matte coating for a comfortable grip.

It has been priced at Rs 4,499, and is available via major e-tailers and brick-and-mortar stores across the country.
