5,000 OnePlus X invites available today via Twitter’s ‘Flock to Unlock’ campaign

OnePlus has introduced a new campaign on Twitter called ‘Flock to Unlock’ to let consumers in India to unlock invites for the OnePlus X (review). Under the campaign, that is running between 11 am to 5 pm today, the company is offering 5,000 invites for the OnePlus X in the country.

In order to unlock the OnePlus X invites, users will need to visit OnePlus’ exclusive sales partner, Amazon India’s official twitter handle @amazonIN and tweet or retweet the message, “Tweet to us using #UnlockOnePlusX for a chance to get your hands on a OnePlus X invite. 5000 invites up for grabs!”.Amazon India will unlock 5,000 OnePlus X invites, once the set number of tweets/retweets is reached.

To recap, the OnePlus X was launched in India in October this year for Rs 16,999 and Rs 22,999 for Onyx and Ceramic editions respectively. Its features include a 5-inch AMOLED 1080p display, a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable memory, 13MP/8MP cameras, dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, OxygenOS ROM based on Android Lollipop, and a 2,525mAh battery.

XOLO One HD sports a 5MP front camera with LED flash and 5-inch HD display

Soon after launching the Era HD, XOLO has launched yet another entry-level smartphone called the One HD. The phone’s main highlight is a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper with an LED flash.

Apart from a 5MP front shooter, the XOLO One HD sports an 8-megapixel secondary snapper with an LED flash. The phone sports a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels, and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. The device is fuelled by a 1.3GHz MediaTek processor, coupled with a Mali 400 MP2 GPU and 1GB of RAM. For storage, it gets 8GB of internal memory, further expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. Connectivity options include dual-SIM slots, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. A 2,300mAh battery keeps the phone running.

The XOLO One HD has been priced at Rs 4,777, and will be available exclusively on Amazon India. The phone comes in white, and registrations for its sale will begin in three days.

The LG Spirit 4G sports a 4.7-inch HD display and 4G with VoLTE

In November this year, LG announced that it will be launching the Spirit 4G and G4 Stylus in India via Reliance Retail. Now as promised, the brand has released the former in the country. The phone comes with VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) and VoWi-Fi (Voice Over Wi-Fi), which deliver faster transmission of data and voice.

The LG Spirit 4G offers a 4.7-inch HD display with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, coupled with an Adreno 306 GPU and 1GB of RAM. For storage, it offers 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded via a microSD card. The device sports an 8MP rear camera with an LED flash, and a 1MP front snapper for self-portraits and video calling. Apart from 4G LTE and VoLTE, the other connectivity options on offer include dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop, and is backed by a 2,100mAh battery.

The LG Spirit 4G has been priced at Rs 11,900, and comes in black and gold variants. It will be available via 150,000 Reliance Retail stores across the country. The company is also expected to launch the LG G4 Stylus 4G in India in the coming days.

Lava Iris Atom and Iris Atom 3 launched

Lava today announced that it has sold more than 1.5 million units of its entry-level Iris Atom series. To celebrate the occasion, the company has launched two new devices in the range – the Iris Atom and Iris Atom 3. Both are entry-level devices running Android 5.1 Lollipop, and support smart gesture controls like opening apps by drawing specific letters on the lockscreen.

The Lava Iris Atom and Iris Atom 3 share quite a few specifications. They are powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processors, aided by 512MB of RAM. They come with 8GB of expandable memory, 5-megapixel primary snappers, dual-SIM slots, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.

Individually, the Lava Iris Atom offers a compact 4-inch display bearing a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, a VGA front snapper, and a 1,500mAh battery. The Iris Atom 3 on the other hand sports a larger 5-inch FWVGA display, a 2MP secondary camera, and a 2,000mAh battery.

The Lava Iris Atom has been priced at Rs 4,249, while the Iris Atom 3 is being offered for Rs 4,899. They will be available in black and white hues via major brick-and-mortar retail stores and e-commerce portals.
