OPPO has launched its latest mid-range smartphone called the A53 in China. The phone’s main highlight is its 7.4mm slim magnesium alloy unibody design. The device also sports 2.5D curved glass on the front. The phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with OPPO’s ColorOS 2.1 on top. It also comes with Dirac audio and 1CC large five speaker sound chamber that prevents distortion even in full volume.
Coming to the other specs, the OPPO A53 sports a phablet-grade 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. A 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM handles the performance. Camera department includes a 13MP rear snapper with an LED flash and a Samsung ISOCELL sensor, and a 5MP selfie shooter.
For storage, the OPPO A53 gets 16GB of inbuilt memory, which can be further topped up to 128GB via a microSD card. In terms of connectivity, it offers 4G LTE, hybrid dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The handset is backed by a 3,075mAh battery that supports fast charging. It will go on sale in China soon in a single golden hue. The brand is yet to reveal its price or global availability.
