vivo has unveiled its latest flagship smartphones, the X6 and X6 Plus, in its home market of China. Both are made out of anodised aluminium-magnesium alloy. As per the brand, the manufacturing process includes nano injection molding, hand polishing, and laser engraving. Both offer Super AMOLED displays with 2.5D curved glass, and fingerprint sensors that are located at the back.
The vivo X6 flaunts a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED full HD display with a pixel density of 424ppi, encased in a slim 6.6mm body. It is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor, aided by a dual-core Mali T760 GPU, aided by a meaty 4GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB of expandable internal memory. For imaging, it sports a 13MP rear snapper with phase detection autofocus and f/2.2 aperture, and an 8MP front shooter. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots (one of which is hybrid and can take a microSD card), and the regular set of options. It is backed by a 2,400mAh battery with fast charging capability, and runs Funtouch OS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The vivo X6 Plus on the other hand boasts a larger 5.7-inch Super AMOLED 1080p display, resulting in a pixel density of 386ppi. This one offers 64GB of internal storage and a 3,000mAh battery with fast-charging. For audio, it uses a Yamaha Hi-Fi chip and dedicated amplifier. The rest of it specs are similar to its smaller sibling.
As per the brand, the fingerprint sensors of the X6 and X6 Plus can unlock the screen within 0.4 seconds. The fingerprint sensor can also be used as a self-timer shutter key to capture selfies. The phones come with ‘Twin Engine Flash Charge’ technology and Nine vivo Charging Protection System for faster and safer charging.
Coming to the prices, the vivo X6 has been priced at CNY 2,600 (approx. Rs 27,000), while the X6 Plus will be available for CNY 3,200 (around Rs 33,200). They come in Silver, Gold and Rose Gold variants.
